Samael has over 20 years of experience as an aircraft auditor / inspector and is the founder and CEO of AerotechOps, a Part 145 repair station specializing in on-wing engine solutions and ‘hospital visit’ engine repairs.
Samael has a comprehensive background in aircraft/engine leasing, aviation maintenance, quality control, quality assurance, heavy maintenance and major modifications. Samael is a proven team leader and resourceful project manager with a diverse employment history including but not limited to aircraft/engine leasing and asset management. Samael is a graduate of the George T. Baker Aviation School and is a licensed A&P mechanic.
Patrice is an attorney with over 19 years of experience in the aviation industry. Immediately prior to forming Halcyon, Patrice was a partner at Akerman LLP where he lead the aviation practice. Prior to joining Akerman, Patrice served as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Apollo Aviation Group (now Carlyle Aviation Partners), a specialty aviation asset management firm with over $4b of assets under management as of December 2016. Prior to Apollo, Patrice served as the General Counsel to Arrow Air, Inc. (d/b/a Arrow Cargo), a US Part 121 certificated
Patrice started his career with the law firm of Greenberg Traurig in their aircraft leasing and finance group. Patrice holds an LLM in Tax from the University of Miami, a JD from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law and a BA from Bucknell University. Patrice is admitted as an attorney in New York, Florida, Washington DC and England and Wales.
